PNC Healthcare and ECHO Health
July 20, 2026We’ve partnered with PNC Healthcare and ECHO Health to offer both traditional and electronic payment options. They work together to deliver payment services through PNC’s Claim Payments & Remittances service. ECHO Health provides electronic settlement services for payers throughout the United States, processing more than 300 million claims annually. This applies only to our commercial and Medicare Advantage plans.
There are four payment options:
1. Virtual credit card (VCC)—default option
You can receive payments via a one-time use, 16-digit credit card per payment transaction. EOBs are available electronically. No enrollment is required. VCCs are distributed by mail or fax (if a fax number is on file). Normal credit card transaction fees will apply. Refer to the credit card processor for details on transaction fees.
Timing reminder:
A reminder is sent if funds are not accessed within 30 days.
After 60 days, unprocessed VCC payments are voided and reissued as a paper check.
2. Electronic funds transfer (EFT)
You can receive payments directly deposited into your designated bank account (bank fees may apply). EOBs are available electronically. If you’re already set up for EFT, payments will continue to be processed automatically through ECHO Health.
3. Medical payment exchange (MPX)
You can receive payments and EOBs electronically 7-10 days faster than you can with mailed payments. MPX provides the option to print a check at no cost, receive a VCC payment or enroll for EFT at any time.
4. Paper checks
You can continue to receive traditional paper check payments and paper EOBs.
Viewing payment details
